Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for parts in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the only children to Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the world of show business early, and ended up performing lead roles in various television dramas by the time she was sixteen. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and received critical and commercial success. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated films that feature female stars. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable national and international projects over the years. The projects comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as in addition to the French history mini-series Napoleon. She was also in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
